Computer Science and Engineering

The department was established in the year 2007 with an intake of 60. The main aim is to meet the growing demand for qualified technical personnel in the field of Computer Science & Engineering. Later the P.G course started in the year 2010 with an intake of 18.      
The Department has well qualified, experienced and committed faculty members, with research works in the field of Computer Science includes Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing and Data Mining and Warehousing etc… The Department has well established state of the art laboratories with sophisticated equipment to support all academic needs of the students.
Industry experts are periodically invited to give lectures and demonstrations to the student’s up to date technologies. Students are given exposure to industries by industrial visits and industrial training sessions including Internships.

Computer Science serves as the foundation for various technological advancements that the world sees today. The field has grown by leaps and bounds. The future innovations that it brings along never seem to slow down. Yet another beauty of computer science is that it finds a place in many interdisciplinary fields as well. With these, there also comes a necessity to keep up to the global demand of finding highly skilled engineers and scientists. JNTUA University, one of the top-ranked technical universities in India drives on the purpose of providing quality education and improving competence among students thereby living up to its motto, ‘ Progress through Knowledge’.
We the Department of Computer Science and Engineering align our goals towards the same and the start-ups, expert engineers produced by us stand testimony to it. SVIST has always asserted to take education beyond the four walls so that students understand the reality of the technical world. The Department imparts world class training and platform for research to the students. The department provides state-of-the-art computing facilities to the students enabling them to stay a step ahead. They are exposed to various opportunities such as in-house training, internships, and workshops during their course of study. The department also hosts a number of workshops and student managed symposiums.
As the head of the department and my team together, we strive for the betterment of students on a regular basis.
