Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The ECE department was established in the academic year 2007-2008 with an intake of 60 and currently with 66 regular and 6 lateral entry students in under graduate program (B. Tech.).

The department is also offering one post graduate program (M.Tech.) in the specialization of Electronics & Communication Engineering with an intake of 18 students.

The department has highly qualified faculty having specialized in diversified areas of technology like Communications, Signal Processing, VLSI, Microprocessors, Digital Electronics and embedded systems. The department is well equipped with excellent infrastructure which facilitates a conducive environment for teaching-learning process. All the laboratories are designed and established to cater the needs for a student to get the exposure for practical applications in variety of domains pertaining to electronics and communication engineering. The major goal of the department of ECE is to produce highly knowledgeable, competent and resourceful young engineers who can perform well in a wide variety of job profiles. To achieve this goal the department is putting dedicated efforts in nurturing a strong foundation both in analytical and technological aspects laid down in the curriculum. It also provides ample opportunities to students to work on mini projects, develop communication skills, explore internship opportunities in industry and take part in national and international design contests.

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) aims to become a resource centre for higher learning and research, and shall evolve innovative solutions for technological, societal and environmental needs.

M1.To produce creative and competent engineers by imparting quality education in the-stateof-the-art technology environment.
