College reserves right to modify, merge or cancel any proposed route(s) without assigning any reason.
The seats will be allotted on the first come first serve basis for every academic year after receipt of
Transport Fee.
New routes/buses will be introduced subjected to the number of students and availability of buses. Decision
of the Institute will be final in this regard.
Request for the extension or diversion of route(s) and additional stops will not be considered for the
existing buses/routes.
Transport fee once paid is non-refundable.
Parents are requested to lodge their suggestions / requests / complaints, if any in writing, with the I/c,
Students Transport Centre or Principal only.
Instructions to the Students
Must always carry the College and Transport Identity Cards, and show the same to the faculty in charges
/driver on demand.
Ragging and indecent behavior is strictly prohibited.
To be in their respective bus stops at the scheduled time, chasing or forcing the driver to stop the bus is
not permitted.
Should not keep hands / any other parts of the body out of windows.
Boys and girls must occupy separate seats.
Arguing with faculty in charges / drivers leads to the cancellation of the transport facility to the
concerned student. Suggestions/complaints, if any must given in writing to K HEMADRI, HOD of Mechanical Engg
Department & the Students Transport I/C, SVIST only.
Any damage made to the seats, glasses or any other components of the bus (including writing with pens) will
be charged double the amount and shall be paid by the concerned student.
Must leave the bus immediately after reaching the college and Students are permitted to board into bus again
after college timings only.
Should not leave their belongings (Bags, Books etc.) in the buses and the college is not responsible for any
loss in this regard.
In case of breakdown of the bus, student must follow the instructions of the in charge/driver or should make
their own arrangement if alternative arrangement is not provided.
The Buses will be operated as per Almanac of B.E/B.Tech only. Hence PG students willing to travel in buses
have to follow the same.
Students with history of indiscipline will not be permitted to travel in buses.
The students must follow the above instructions carefully and co-operate with the faculty in-charges /
drivers for smooth operation of the buses, failing which, the transport facility will be withdrawn and in
such cases, the transport fee is neither refunded nor adjusted.
FEE DETAILS
Transport fee is Rs. 5,000 /- for Town route, & it may vary for different routes for the academic year
2022-2023, for all U.G and P.G Students.

Sports Club
the sports & games club of SVIST is highly active not only in organizing various competitions at various levels
but also in encouraging, training, motivating and facilitating the students to participate in University, state,
national and international level events. The club is also active in contributing for the `Fit India’ movement
and in the conduct of `Yoga day’ every year. Institute has created a separate block for facilitating indoor
sports and games activities, besides meeting the requirement of outdoor games for all the students. Over the
last 15 years, there have been many instances where in the students of SVIST have figured among the achievers of
various levels
Data Center
SVIST has a Campus Wide Networking (CWN) Facility monitored by CISCO MX-100 Firewall to serve the local and the
Internet Facility with wired and wireless Connectivity. There are five CISCO SG-350 manageable Switches and one
CISCO-1900 Router separating the Public and Private LANs connecting more than 2150 Desktop Machines serving the
Computational requirements of the Institute and several Mobile Devices. The LANs are managed by more than 100
Giga-Bits manageable Switches with 10 GBPS Multimode Fiber Optic backbone connectivity.
The Wi-Fi Facility is extended with 105 Meraki & KL-300 access points controlled by the MX-100 and CloudTrax,
Firewall. Additionally, the SVIST-CWN is supplemented with Mobility aware Wireless Connectivity across the
Campus to enable the Seamless Connectivity of Wireless Network to Electronic Gadgets of Students and Staff.
The Data Center comprises of more than 10 Servers including HP c7000 Blade, Rack-mounted and Tower Servers,
Printers Catering to the Academic and Administration needs including Web, Mail, Teaching and Learning Services.
These Servers can be accessed by the people in a controlled way and are installed with the State-of-Art Software
including the VM Ware to create Virtual Machines, Fedora, Debian, MS- Windows,Oracle, MatLab, Drillbit, pSpice,
Informatica, Rational Rose, Webex etc.
LIBRARY:
Central Library which acts as a knowledge hub for the academic activities of our institution with a mission
to provide knowledge gateway to the user community with the state of the art technologies.
The Central Library provides excellent library facilities for all the students and faculty members, such as
sufficient books, proper seating and reading facility, proper classification and arrangement of books
ABOUT
Book stocking section has the collection of text and reference books as prescribed in the syllabus and also
relevant books.
In the Periodical Section, peer reviewed National Journals and Technical Magazines are available and kept in
printed form.
Reference Section has Reference books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Directories, Exam Guides, Standards,
Manuals, Handbooks, Proceedings and collection of University & Autonomous question paper booklets.
The Circulation Section is fully computerized bar-coded circulation service (Issue, Return and Renewal of
library documents)
Back issue of journal are bounded every year and kept in Back Volume Section for reference purpose. Back
volumes can also be borrowed by the users.
